Whispered interpreting is used in situations in which only one or a few recipients need to understand what’s said in another language and full interpreting is not required for all the attendees. It’s recommended for more informal situations and in contexts in which it isn’t feasible or practical to use other interpreting methods such as sound systems or simultaneous interpreting devices.
