Anexiam provides certified translations into the 37 languages authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, delivered by professional, native translators.
A certified translation, also known as a legal or official translation, is a translation of a document that is legally binding in the source language. This type of translation can only be delivered by translators accredited by the public authority of a country. In our case, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has the authority to grant certification to certified translators in Spain.
A certified translation is only issued for legally binding source documents (for example: certificates, contracts, legal judgements, etc.) so that the translated text maintains that same legal legitimacy.
The translation is made legal is by the seal and signature of the certified translator together with the suitable official certification. However, in some cases these documents must be accompanied by a Hague Apostille and other certification in order to fully comply with legislation.
